Meet the Pastor

​​

Reverend Diondre D. McBride is a Spirit-led servant of God, devoted preacher, and passionate prayer warrior who is committed to proclaiming the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ.

​

He was born on October 10, 1987, in Los Angeles, California to Glenn McBride and Darlene Wilridge.

​

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 15 and has faithfully served in ministry for more than a decade with a passion for making disciples, developing leaders, and bridging generations through the Gospel.

On June 28, 2008, Pastor McBride graduated from Next Dimension University with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. He also attended Aenon Bible College at Garden of Peace Family Worship Center under the leadership of Senior Pastor Mario Shaw Sr. On July 15, 2016, he was licensed as a State Minister, and on July 25, 2018, he was ordained as an Elder through the Southern California District Council 67 of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. On January 30, 2022, he was ordained as a Baptist minister at New Joy Baptist Church in Riverside, CA under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Paul Munford.

Throughout his ministry, God has blessed Pastor McBride to serve as Youth Pastor at Garden of Peace Worship Center, Associate Pastor at New Joy Baptist Church, Campus Pastor at Sunrise Church in Victorville, California, Senior Discipleship and Connections Associate Minister at Historic First Calvary Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina, and as a Healthcare Chaplain with Gentiva Hospice, St. Mary’s Hospital, Corona Regional Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente.

 

His calling is to care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of God’s people while leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pastor McBride also made history on March 29, 2000, when he became the first African American President of the California School Employees Association, Chapter 651, at Mt. San Antonio College, demonstrating his commitment to servant leadership both inside and outside the church. In 2000, he completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education through the Healthcare Chaplain Ministries Association.

 

On May 29, 2020, Pastor McBride was featured in U.S. News & World Report in the article, COVID-19: Lifting Patients in Prayer.

In 2025, Pastor McBride had a vision and calling from God to relocate to North Carolina. He planted roots in Durham, NC where he currently resides. 

 

He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Gateway Seminary and anticipates graduating in 2029.

Outside of ministry, Pastor McBride enjoys reading, exercising, cooking, attending concerts, cheering on USC Football (“Fight On!”), watching WWE, and spending quality time with family and friends.

 

On August 1, 2026, Pastor McBride was elected as the 15th Senior Pastor of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Roxboro, North Carolina. He is honored and grateful for the opportunity to shepherd God’s people and is committed to faithfully preaching God’s Word, making disciples, developing leaders, strengthening families, and serving the community for the glory of God.
